Eventually Wanda realized her father could not live up to his own standards and quit the team, trying to make up for her time as his pawn. In the Ultimate Marvel comics, Wanda is the daughter of the mutant super villain Magneto and originally put her powers to use helping the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. She was created by the late Stan Lee and the late Jack Kirby, and first appeared in X-Men #4 in March of 1964. Scarlet Witch is portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
